SURVIVAL OF THE FASTEST

The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike prioritizes aerodynamic performance and stiffness, making it a platform preferred by the fastest sprinters in the world. Don’t think Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike is a one-trick pony, though—despite the lateral stiffness, the Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike delivers an incredibly comfortable ride. You’ve no doubt noticed the now-iconic V-Stem. We optimized the Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike shape to deliver the best possible performance in the wind, hid the cables inside, and make Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike with enough bar/stem/stack options to fit just about anyone.

When you climb aboard a Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike, you won’t just go fast, you’ll feel fast. The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike frame stiffness, geometry, layup, and tube shapes of the Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike combine to make a bike that’s comfortable enough to spend all day off the front, but will respond to a last-second acceleration better than anything else. The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike clears 28mm tires too, to allow you to fit the newer crop of wider rim/tire combos that help you eke out even more aero advantage.

NO EFFORTS WASTED

The stiffness of the S5 is a sprinter's dream. Using a combination of material, shape, and layup, we engineered the S5 to be stiffer at the head tube, for stable and predictable handling, and at the bottom bracket, so that more of your power goes into turning the rear wheel.

LESS DRAG, MORE SPEED

Aerodynamics are critical to engineering a fast bike: aero drag accounts for as much as 90% of the overall resistance affecting a rider. Using special frame tube shapes and design features, we improved the aerodynamics of the S5 Disc so you can reap the benefits of reduced drag.

BBRIGHT BOTTOM BRACKET

Cervelo developed BBright to take advantage of the fact that oversized frame tubes are stiffer and lighter. With the BBright system, larger-sized tubes are used in the seat tube, down tube, and lefthand chain stay. The benefit is increased stiffness and pedaling efficiency in a lighter weight frame. BBright is compatible with all major bottom bracket standards.

About Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike - Written by Cycling Weekly

Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike has improvement on performance and at the request of many, increased stiffness by 25 per cent around the bottom bracket and 13 per cent around the headtube, much needed.

The new Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike has an excellent ride quality, which has been lacking with Cervélo's aero range. The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike evidently fast too! The handling of the Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike mirrors the razor sharp handling of the R5, making it one of the best descending aero bikes I’ve ridden.

The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike dropped bottom bracket had the exact same affect, making Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike feel like you’re sitting in the bike rather than on top of it. The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike is easy to flip in corners and lean into them. The Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike extended trail makes the bike hold its line no matter the corner, never wavering from where you point it. I guess this suits the fact that I fit on a 54cm Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike much better than I would a traditional 54cm.

It’s worth repeating: don’t be fooled by the rise on the stem, the Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike is an aggressive bike, and riding with the bars slammed on my test bike I could feel it how Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike was eager and ready to nip into a gap in the bunch if I needed it to. It’s not that it’s uncomfortable, Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike is just aggressive, and the ride is actually very compliant; no doubt helped by the slightly wider tyres. After all, if you find Cervelo S5 Disc Aero Road Bike too aggressive there’s always the Cervélo S3 you can ride which has 16mm more stack.
